Tech on Deck (http://www.ecetech.net/events/techondeck/) allowed teachers opportunity to use Apps, explore simple robotics and talk all things technology. The sessions on this day were based around practical experiences and conversations with practitioners, and simple robotic toys was one of many great tables.
This day provided teachers with an opportunity to try out a range of simple robotics (including the Roamer Too) and explore how simple robotics can be used as tools in mathematical and problem-solving tasks and to promote metacognitive skills. Roamer Too’s changeable face makes it particularly useful for a range of ages – with great opportunity for measurement, number, problem-solving, position, space and geometry, communication and language development.
